Home Inspections and Reports?
In most cases the average home inspection takes between 3 to 4 hours depending on the size, condition and age of the property. This time frame can vary greatly as I don't know exactly what I will find until getting into the data collection process of the inspection. The compiling of data into a comprehensive and understandable home inspection report is another 2-3 hours. If necessary I may also research additional information on certain elements discovered during the inspection so that can also be adequately presented that in the report. My
comprehensive
home inspection report is usually in your e-mail as an Adobe PDF file
attachment the following morning (within 24 hours). A copy of the report can be provided to your
real estate agent as long as we get your approval to share.
I've
been asked about providing home inspection reports "on-site". The quick and
responsible answer is: "NO". All of the time I book
with you is spent on the inspection of the property. My focus, as your
home inspector, is on
the critical data collection and sharing of this early information
with you at the end of this time. As noted above it can take an
additional 2-3 hours to write the comprehensive and detailed home
inspection report
that is your tool and guide to the condition of the property. Sample Report If you would like to view one of my reports please click on:

What is included in your inspection? What is my fee schedule? I prefer to look at what an inspection
is "worth" rather than the cost. Consider the investment you
are making in the property and weigh the inspection rate and value of
data provided by the inspection. Your commitment for an educational
inspection is well worth its cost.
